No problems since. The switch is back by the door latch. It is hard to get to even if you take the door panel off but really squirt the heck out of it and the WD-40 will get in there. I had problems opening my tailgate and the WD-40 worked on that too. I think the problem is that the plastic gets gummed up and sticks. Can't turn off interior lights with door open. Just started driving a 2021 Explorer. Key in ignition, rotate, lights come on as car starts. Lights stay on and will not go off. Drove several miles that way. At destination, shut engine off, lights still on. Open and close all doors including tailgate, lights remain on. Pull Fuse #8, lights go off. Reinsert Fuse #8, lights come back on.

I have done that already there is a green plug under dash to right of steering column and if you unplug it kill the lights the dome light the turn signals the alarm the door locks and then you plug it back in and then running lights turn off. There has to be a relay in the alarm that stays open when I turn lights off. oT8fX.
