Aside from u/MoneyKeyPennyKiss 's observations, there is one more significant improvement the 457 has over the older 455's. The benefit is the bedding system. The 455 secures the action to the stock via two bolts that are held in place by the "bottom metal." This is probably Okay for many shooters, but my 455 preferred a 35in/lb torque setting.
