Assassin's Creed games traditionally run at a locked 30fps, but the PS5 version significantly boosts performance. The game now runs at a silky smooth 60fps in performance mode. This naturally improves responsiveness in all areas: exploring the world, competing in a drinking challenge or raiding a monastery, for instance.
Assassin’s Creed Origins Heads to PS5 and Xbox Series with 60fps Patch June 2nd. Ubisoft have announced both Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will be getting a 60 fps along with the arrival of Assassin’s Creed Origins on these platforms on June 2nd. No news was given on whether the game will receive 4K support or other visual enhancements
Have skipped Assassin's Creed games since unity. I played basically every single AC up until then. It has been 8 years since I have played any of these games (none of the changes were that appealing), but I am so excited for Origins and have been waiting for this patch. I'll be experiencing it for the first time in 60.
First minutes / Hands-on the "Discovery Tour" in Assassin’s Creed Origins Gameplay/Walkthrough on PS5 / PlayStation 5 in BC UHD - 4K 60FPS (Optimized for PS5
It's unlikely that fans will be able to play Assassin's Creed Origins at 60fps on consoles without a PS5 or Xbox Series X. Odyssey's patch from earlier this year only applied to the new-gen Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered - 4K and HDR. Assassin's Creed Odyssey - 4K and HDR. Assassin's Creed Origins - up to 4K resolution using dynamic resolution scaling. Assassin's Creed Rogue PS5 officially though is unable to run Assassin’s Creed Valhalla natively at 4K resolution while maintaining 60 frames per second. Ubisoft presumably decided to prioritize higher frame rates or TL - DR Frame rate: - All consoles hug 60 FPS very well but there are issues with duplicate frames after camera cuts on all platforms. - Opening cut-scene in Origins and opening fight in Odyssey drops frames on all consoles to mid 50s.
PS5 having 60 FPS is nice and all, but that LoD draw needs to get bumped. This game can look gorgeous, but the draw distance with the 60 FPS update that happened for PS5 and XSX is criminal. The other photo is me running this on a laptop that doesn’t have a powerful enough CPU to hit 60 FPS, so it’s capped at 30 and maxed out everything but
That is to say while it could be a problem with the way PS5 handles PS4 games (doubtful IMO because 99% of games are fine) I'm more inclined to believe that there are elements in the game that are misbehaving under circumstances that simply went untested on the original launch. Everyone online seems to say that all the Assassin’s Creed games on PS5 are 30FPS (Except the RPGs). But when I’ve played both Black Flag and The Ezio Collection they feel so smooth as if they’re 60FPS. I can definitely tell a difference too because I played both AC3 and Unity and could instantly tell they were only 30FPS. We are looking at Assassin's Creed: Origins on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Both machines are looking really similar.Series X works with the 2160p 30 FPS
